24-28 June 1996
In addition to focusing on worldwide issues of Internet networking, INET ’96 places an increased emphasis on the social, cultural, and linguistic impacts of Internet technology. Among the issues examined are the Internet’s potential for social transformation, the Internet’s role in reshaping commerce, and the ways in which new teaching technologies and applications are changing the nature of education. The conference also opens with a primary and second school workshop that brings together kindergarten through secondary school innovators from around the world.
