IETF Fellows Applications Open for IETF 95

IETF LogoThe Internet Society is inviting applications for the next round of its Fellowship to the IETF programme. This will provide fellowships to selected engineers and researchers from emerging and developing economies to enable them to attend the next IETF meeting on 3-8 April 2016 in Buenos Aires next year.

The IETF is responsible for the development of the protocols used in IP-based networks as well as documenting best current practices, and its participants represent an international community of network architects, operators, vendors and researchers involved in the technical operation of the Internet. This is the place where the Deploy360 technologies are discussed and developed, with current relevant developments including the new TLS 1.3 protocol, how to secure DNS clients, RPKI operational experiences, and the IPv6 related aspects of Home Networking and the Internet-of-Things in particular.

Fellowships will be awarded through a competitive process and applications can be made through the Fellowship to the IETF Programme page. The closing date is 22 November 2015.

Even if you’re not interested in applying yourself, we encourage you to pass on information about the programme to any colleagues and individuals in your network that have a keen interest in the Internet protocol development activities of the IETF.

The Internet Society Fellowships to the IETF are sponsored by Afilias, Google, NBCUniversal, Microsoft, and Verisign.
