IPv6, DNSSEC, and Routing Security Info at ION Belfast Next Week

ION Belfast LogoIt’s almost time for ION Belfast! Next week on Monday and Tuesday, 8-9 September, we’ll hold ION Belfast with the United Kingdom Network Operators’ Forum (UKNOF). UKNOF 29 kicks off on Monday afternoon, and the ION portion starts at 1:30PM BST (UTC+1) on Tuesday. As usual, we’ll webcast the whole thing, and as an added bonus, you can tune in to the entire UKNOF 29 agenda too. The webcast will be live at http://uknof.bogons.net/uknof29.html.

We are really excited about this event and our amazing lineup of speakers. The free registration period has ended, but you can still register for a small fee (or of course there’s the free webcast option). Registration information is available on our Logistics & Registration page.

Here’s an overview of the agenda and speakers:

  • Two Years After World IPv6 Launch: Are We There Yet?
    Nathalie Kunneke-Trenaman (RIPE NCC)
  • Why Implement DNSSEC?
    Jim Galvin (Afilias)
  • IPv6 Success Stories– Network Operators Tell All!
Ian Farrer (Deutsche Telekom AG); Timo Hilbrink (xs4all); Dave Wilson (HEAnet)
  • IETF Update
    Chris Grundemann (Internet Society)
  • Panel: Routing Around Catastrophe
Moderator: Rob Evans (JANET). Panelists: Nick Hilliard (INEX); Mike Hughes; Dave Wilson (HEAnet)
  • Securing BGP
    David Freedman (Claranet)

We continue to build on the success of our past events, where we had industry experts from across the globe answer your specific deployment questions and provided a mix of high-level strategic discussions, real-world deployment experiences, and hands-on technical training. ION Conferences also help us get your direct feedback on what else you need to get started so that we know what new resources to add to the Deploy360 site next.
