Deploy360 Team at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Next Week to Talk About IPv6

CES 2012 logoWill you be out at the massive Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas next week? If so, the full Deploy360 team will be onsite talking to companies and vendors about IPv6. We have a number of media interviews set up already – and we’re also looking to directly interview people working with IPv6 to include those video interviews here on the site.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO INTERVIEW US about what we are doing with this new Deploy360 program, or about IPv6 and/or DNSSEC in general, please send us an email at deploy360@isoc.org.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE INTERVIEWED about the use of IPv6 in your consumer products, please send us an email at deploy360@isoc.org.

We’ll be onsite from Wednesday evening, January 10th, through Saturday, January 14th. On Saturday, Richard Jimmerson will be participating in a program about IPv6 as part of the International Conference on Consumer Electronics (ICCE), presented by the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society. He will be co-presenting with John Brzozowski of Comcast. The abstract of the session is:

The purpose of this tutorial is to help the consumer electronics community better understand the motivation and importance of IPv6. The tutorial will begin with brief history of IPv4 and IPv6 along with insight into current events that have increased the awareness and importance of IPv6. Background specific to service and content provider deployment plans and experience will also be provided. This information includes information related to the deployment of IPv6 in conjunction with information pertaining to other transition solutions that are expected to directly impact consumer electronics. Finally, high-level information pertaining to consumer electronic IPv6 requirements will be outlined. Recommended requirements will be organized by general device category along with information about incremental enablement and support for IPv6 across consumer electronics.

The ICCE event is co-located with CES but is a completely separate event with its own registration and program.
