Israel Rosas joined the Internet Society in July 2018, as Outreach Manager-Latin American and the Caribbean. In this newly created position, Israel will support the efforts in the LAC region to be more efficient in reaching out the diverse members of the community.

Prior to joining ISOC, Israel served as Internet Policy Analyst at the Coordination of the National Digital Strategy, a group that works directly with the Office of the President of Mexico. In that role, Israel offered advice on a variety of Internet Governance topics at the national, regional and global level. He represented Mexico in the Multistakeholder Advisory Group of the Internet Governance Forum, as well as the Working Group on Enhanced Cooperation of the UN Commission on Science, Technology and Development. He was also part of the Mexican delegation to the Governmental Advisory Committee of ICANN.

Israel began his first contact with Internet Society as a member of the Mexico Chapter; he joined the SIG Youth after its creation and he is a founding member of the SIG Cybersecurity.

Israel speaks Spanish, English and some French. He is based in Mexico City.
